The CEO of Kimyaye Pars Middle East Petrochemical in an interview with "Energy Press":

Installment or barter, solution for gas debt of petrochemicals
Amir Ganjidoost said: by cutting off gas and stopping the production of petrochemicals, no demand will be collected, the solution to the problem of gas debt is to Installment or barter it by requesting the Farhangian reserve fund from the government.

According to Energy Press, in August of this year, the news of gas cutoff of several petrochemical companies due to gas debt was reported in the media. Some petrochemical companies, like Masjid Suleiman, were able to pay part of their gas arrears by clearing their urea debt from the government. Pars Middle East’s Kimia Petrochemical was also one of these companies, whose gas was connected after 16 days. At the end of last week, the story of the gas cut of this petrochemical and its margins was again in the media. Amir Ganjidoost, the CEO of Pars Middle East Petrochemical Kimia, in an interview with Energy Press about the gas debt of this petrochemical company, said: After connecting the company’s gas in September, we reached 102% of the nominal capacity by increasing production. In the last month, we have paid 26 million dollars for gas, the company’s monthly gas consumption was 10 million dollars , and the rest has been allocated to the company’s arrears.
Gas reduction and water and petrochemical steam cut
The CEO of Kimia Pars Middle East said: Unfortunately, in the last few days, the accounts of many petrochemical companies have been blocked, including Kimia Pars Middle East. The Damavand company account has also been blocked. Because of this, the situation of everyone in the Asaluyeh region is disturbed and this issue has caused a conflict. The Gas Administration has also announced in a correspondence why Kimia Pars Middle East has a gas debt and has not settled it. The gas department has requested to cut off the Damavand gas outlet of Kimya Pars Middle East, and this resulted in a conflict and the gas was not cut off, but after that it has reduced the gas by 60%. The worst action taken was blocking the accounts, which not only did not solve the problem but also increased tensions.
Will the debt be paid by shutting down petrochemical production?
He pointed out: After the gas incident, Damavand cut off water and steam. The important issue is whether by shutting down and preventing production money is obtained or debt is paid? I really don’t know what is the logic in stopping and shutting down petrochemicals. Is Kimia Pars Petrochemical alone in Asalouye region in debt? Why Bushehr gas company acts selectively? Why are so many insisting on closing the production unit even at the cost of conflict and even shutting off the water, that too on a holiday! Are these behaviors beautifying the Islamic system in a year when the leadership’s command is to increase production?
Gas debt due to Damavand’s default
Ganji Doost continued: Petrochemical gas debt of Kimiya Pars Middle East started 3 years ago and is about 80 million dollars . The most important reason for the debt was Damavand’s default in supplying oxygen in the last 3 years.
Distribution or clearing of gas problem solution
He added: “Damavand’s breach of contract caused Petrochemical Kimia Pars Middle East to continue working with less than 50% of its nominal capacity.”
In the end, Ganji Dost said about the solution to the gas problem: the best solution for the production to continue and Damavand’s demands to be collected, is to divide the debt or clear it by requesting the Farhangian reserve fund from the government. We hope that a rational and practical solution will be considered for this problem.
