28% drop in the export of Iranian petrochemical products in 2023
In 2023, the equivalent of 19.4 billion dollars of petrochemical products will be exported, which shows a decrease of 28.6% in terms of value compared to 2022.

According to Energy Press, according to the announced statistics, the total export of the country was equal to 86.9 billion dollars last year, of which the share of non-oil exports was equal to 49.4 billion dollars. According to the statistics that Mahmoud Najafi Arab, the head of Tehran’s private sector parliament, announced today, the country’s oil exports last year were about 35.9 billion dollars, which shows an 8.6% growth compared to 2022. Unlike oil exports, the export of non-oil products has not experienced very good conditions and has decreased by 8.9% compared to the previous year, i.e. 2022.

It is interesting to know that the export value of petrochemical products in 2023 was equal to 19.4 billion dollars, which shows a decrease of 28.6% compared to 2022. Many officials believe that the reason for this decrease is the decrease in the average price per ton of the export items of this group.

According to the head of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, the value of each ton of petrochemical products went from an average of 496 dollars per ton to 398 dollars, which is a significant decrease.
