According to the report of Energy Press, citing the public relations and international affairs of Jam Petrochemical; In this joint meeting, which was attended by Engineer “Abdul Rahim Ghanbarian”, CEO of Jam Petrochemical and a group of managers of this company, “Abdul Rahman Muradzadeh”, Director General of Environment of Bushehr Province and “Mustafa Moazeni”, Head of Environment of Asaluyeh, the memorandum of understanding for the management of the Jubir site It was signed by the parties with the guiding axis of the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Chinkara population site and cooperation in the optimization of the Chinkara habitat located in the Naiband Marine National Park.

Managing the site of Jubir National Marine Park in Nayband as a voluntary action following the commitment of this company to carry out social responsibilities in accordance with Article 50 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran, with the aim of effective participation and interaction between Jam Petrochemical Company and the General Directorate of Environmental Protection in order to protect the species Chinkara and benefiting from the scientific-specialist abilities of the parties will be carried out within the framework of the memorandum and the current regulations and rules of the Environmental Protection and Petrochemical Organization of Jam and for two years.

Based on this memorandum, Jam Petrochemical Company, in addition to fulfilling its obligations and legal environmental requirements, has undertaken to support the Chinkara deer in Naiband National Park and to restore the habitat of this species for two years.

In order to advance the implementation of this memorandum, the “Jubir Site Management” committee consisting of two representatives from the General Department of Environmental Protection and two representatives from Jam Petrochemical is formed to monitor, follow up and activate its provisions.

Jabir is one of the types of deer native to the Indo-Iranian subcontinent, which mostly lives in hot and desert areas, and is very similar to the Iranian gazelle (Gazella subgutturosa), with the difference that it has a smaller size and a more delicate and thin body. Chinkara’s place of residence is in the southern parts of Iran, including the protected bay of Naiband in Asaluyeh.
