Based on last year's resolution of the Supreme Energy Council, departments were required to supply 5% of their electricity consumption from renewable energies.

According to Energy Press report, Mostafa Rajabi Mashhadi while announcing this news, referring to the resolutions of the third meeting of the Supreme Energy Council, emphasized: According to Article 1 of this resolution, the Ministries of Oil and Energy, Mining Industry, Trade, Jihad, Agriculture and Atomic Energy Organization, as the case may be, are obliged to To present an executive plan to diversify the country’s energy production and final consumption portfolio, including the development of the use of renewable energy, low-power nuclear reactors, the development of high-efficiency thermal power plants, the completion of the steam section of gas units, the modernization, upgrading and replacement of existing power plant units, the development of electric and hybrid transportation fleets. The country of dual-burning gasoline cars, providing electricity and heat needed by industries, residential and commercial complexes with methods such as simultaneous production of electricity and heat (CHP) with an efficiency of at least 70% and distributed generation power plants with an efficiency of at least 42% should proceed to the secretariat of the council. .

Rajabi Mashhadi also said: In order to monitor the energy consumption of the country’s buildings, in this resolution, the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development is obliged to activate the energy consumption monitoring system of the country’s residential and office buildings by integrating it with the real estate and housing system, and the ministries Naft and Niro have also been obliged to continuously provide this system with the information of all natural gas, water and electricity consumption bills of government and non-government subscribers within the framework of the National Data and Information Management Law.

According to the spokesperson of the electricity industry, based on another article of this resolution, each gas, electricity and water subscriber subject to Article (5) of the State Services Management Law is obliged to pay annually 5 reduce the percentage of their energy consumption until it reaches a consumption level equivalent to 80% of the average consumption level of 1401 and provide at least 5% of their electric energy consumption annually until reaching a share of 20% of the annual consumption through renewable energies, and in case of non-compliance with this clause , the Ministries of Energy and Petroleum are authorized to cut off the energy of these subscribers in times of restrictions and calculate the excess energy consumption with the green panel rate in the energy exchange for electricity and the highest domestic selling rate for gas.
