The recent rains solved the water shortage in Sistan and Baluchistan
The recent rains improved the overall situation of the country's rainfall, so that the rainfall in the current water year so far shows a 17% increase compared to the last water year.

According to Energy Press, the rainfall situation improved in April and May this year and caused the overall rainfall index to grow from the beginning of the current water year (September 23, 2023) to the 15th of May.

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Organization, the rains will continue this week.

According to the latest statistics published by the country’s water data and information office, from the beginning of the current water year to May 4, 219.2 mm of rain has occurred in the whole country.

Compared to the long-term period where 221.3 mm of rain was recorded, this amount of rain has decreased by one percent.

At the same time, this amount of rainfall shows a 17% growth compared to the same period in the last water year (September 23, 2022 to September 22, 2023), in which we had 188.1 mm of rain in the period until May 4.

Among the provinces of the country, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad provinces are the rainiest provinces in the country with 704.5 mm of rain.

After that, Gilan has received 621.9 mm and stands in the second place among the rainiest.
