Tehran reacted to the joint statement issued by Saudi Arabia and Kuwait about Arash field
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacted to the joint statement issued by Saudi Arabia and Kuwait about Arash Square and the subsequent visit of the Emir of Kuwait to Riyadh.

According to Energy Press, Nasser Kanani said about the joint statement of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait following the visit of the Emir of Kuwait to Riyadh: As it has been announced many times, the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to work within the framework of the results of previous negotiations with Kuwait regarding the exploitation of joint hydrocarbon resources in Arash field and demarcation of maritime boundaries, to continue bilateral negotiations with Kuwait. Moreover, this issue was emphasized in the latest round of negotiations in March 1401 in Tehran.

Emphasizing the principle of good neighborliness and the importance of the policy of strengthening relations with neighbors in the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, he added: Iran believes that an agreement on this case can be reached in an atmosphere of constructive cooperation and respecting the interests of the two countries.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: Making unilateral claims in various statements and media does not provide a suitable space for managing and advancing the issue based on common interests.

Kanani once again emphasized Iran’s readiness to continue technical negotiations in a friendly atmosphere with the aim of reaching a mutually agreeable solution.
