The head of Region 5 of the Shazand Oil Refinery said: "The major repairs of the Imam Khomeini (RA) Shazand Oil Refining Company were carried out using local capacities, equipment, and domestic experts."

In order to eliminate the pollution of Shazand thermal power plant, a consortium of knowledge-based companies is formed.

Central governor said: We did not allow the development of Shazand power plant and the final solution is to close the power plant with this very old technology.
