After submitting the report of Pakistan Intelligence Agency to the government of this country regarding the involvement of dozens of officials of various agencies in smuggling, including fuel smuggling from Iran, the interim government of this country promised without any appeasement with the smugglers and people involved in this phenomenon, will encounter.

According to Energy Press, in an unprecedented report, the intelligence agency of the government of Pakistan revealed the involvement of dozens of officials of the country’s government institutions in the illegal trade of various types of fuel from Iran and even claimed that the profits from smuggling are also used in terrorist activities.

In this report, some of the details of which have been disclosed by the Pakistani media, it is stated that at least 90 government agencies and 29 officials of Pakistan are directly involved in the Iranian fuel smuggling business.

It is said that some smugglers and buyers of Iranian smuggled fuel use the profits from this business for terrorist and anti-government activities in Balochistan.

This report states: More than 2.8 billion liters of gasoline and diesel are smuggled from Iran to Pakistan every year, which causes an average loss of 60 billion rupees to the national treasury of Pakistan.

The Pakistan Government Intelligence Agency added: 995 fuel supply stations in different regions of the country are involved in buying and selling Iranian fuel, most of the smuggled fuel shipments are transported to Pakistan by Iranian vehicles, and in some cases fuel tankers belonging to the Pakistan Oil Company are also transported. Iran’s fuel smuggling partners with smugglers.

Last week, the interim government of Pakistan ordered the implementation of a large-scale operation to identify and arrest agents of fuel and goods smuggling in various states of the country, including in the border areas, and to suppress networks involved in hoarding dollars and goods.
