Growth in the country’s oil and gas added value

According to Energy Press, citing the Research Center of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, the value added of oil and natural gas has grown by 6.5 percent.
Having a timely and reliable picture of the country’s GDP developments can effectively help improve policymaking and more accurate monitoring of the macroeconomics. Given the delay of statistical authorities in this area and the repeated requests of the members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly to address this deficiency and provide a more timely picture of economic growth, the Research Center of the Assembly has tried to provide a computational infrastructure based on which the country’s economic growth can be estimated and presented on a monthly basis and as quickly as possible.
The latest statistics published by the Central Bank regarding economic growth are for the summer of 1403, according to which the country’s GDP grew by 2.7 and 2.3 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, with and without oil, respectively. Of course, the Statistical Center of Iran announced the economic growth of the autumn season, which has not been considered in this report due to differences in its methodology.
