Export of 11 million tons of Iranian LPG

Export of 11 million tons of Iranian LPG
The FGE consulting company's investigation showed that Iran's export of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) reached more than 11 million tons last year.

According to Energy Press, the analysis of ship monitoring statistics and market information of FGE consulting company showed that Iran’s LPG exports increased by 28% last year, making the country the largest LPG exporter in the Middle East.

According to the Bloomberg report, this increase was influenced by the growth of South Pars gas field production and higher transport capacity between Iran and China.

The increase in Iran’s LPG exports occurred while the United States is trying to intensify sanctions against Iran’s energy trade in line with the maximum pressure campaign. Despite the American pressure, Iran’s oil production increased in 2023 and reached more than three million barrels per day, which was the highest production rate in the past five years.
