Expensive and black market of Iranol and Behran

Expensive and black market of Iranol and Behran
Activists of motor oil union said: Iranol and Behran motor oil became more expensive in the market by 50%, the lack of supply of motor oil by these companies in the market has led to the creation of a "black market".

According to Energy Press, Iranol and Behran motor oils became 50% more expensive in the market. The announcement of this news by the motor oil sellers in the spare parts market of Tehran indicates that the distribution network or possibly the producers are following the path of price growth of lubricants. Mandatory pricing for any product causes losses for the manufacturer and lack of proper access for customers to buy. If the Ministry of Security and the Organization for the Protection of Consumers and Producers do not take any action to correct the price of lubricants in the coming days, you should expect severe inflammation. This product was in the market. Apparently, the change of CEOs of Naft Behran and Iranol has not had any effect on improving the supply of motor oil by these two lubricant companies to the market.

Expensive leverage on the government

The field investigations of “Bazar” reporter indicate that three major motor oil producing companies, including Naft Behran and Iranol, did not supply motor oil in the market from the beginning of this year until today. Activists of this guild believe that the producers deliver the products to the distribution network and this network refuses to distribute it at the market level. It seems that the distribution network, by not supplying motor oil to the market, is following the path of forcing the government to increase the price of motor oil.

Activists of this trade union stated regarding the creation of challenges in the motor oil market by the distribution network and the lack of monitoring of this network: If Iranol and Behran Naft companies are aware of the non-supply of their products by the distribution network, why do they act on capillary distribution in the market? They don’t do spare parts in Tehran?

A motor oil seller, who did not want to be named, explained to “Bazaar” about the non-supply of motor oil by the mentioned companies: Currently, there is a black market for lubricants, and it seems that if this situation continues, we will have to wait. The entry of fake engine oil into the market.

Expensive license issued?

Consumers and Producers Protection Organization claims that any increase in the price of motor oil is subject to obtaining a permit from the Market Regulation Working Group, this permit only applies to motor oil producers. Did consumer and producer protection organizations or other regulatory entities examine the performance of the distribution network in the growth of motor oil prices? Does the distribution network or the “motor oil mafia” have the power to increase the price of motor oil in the market without issuing an expensive permit?

The effect of 20% of engine oil on the growth of transportation fare

Motor oil is known as a strategic part, in case of high prices of all types of lubricants, one should wait for the growth of transportation fare. Because the share of lubricants in the growth of fares is about 20%, due to the 50% increase in the price of lubricants and the concern of car owners, especially drivers of the public transport fleet, the fares may soon grow more than the government announced.

Due to the growth of production inputs and the increase in exchange rates, it is necessary to modify the prices of goods such as motor oil, which are subject to mandatory pricing. Because the lack of this issue can lead to a decrease in quality, decrease in supply and cause inflammation in the market. It seems that the “motor oil mafia” dominated the market of this product more than ever, in the absence of supervision, the authority to determine the price is in the hands of the distribution network.

“Bazar” media is ready to receive the answer of Naft Behran and Iranol regarding the reason for the high price or weakness of the distribution network of these lubricants for not supplying the product to the market.
