Effluent was offered in the energy exchange

According to Energy Press, Hashem Amini announced that the wastewater will be offered on the energy exchange and said: In this context, with the planning of the country’s water and sewage engineering company, 1.8 million cubic meters of wastewater produced by the sewage treatment plant in the south of Tehran will be offered on the energy exchange board.

He added: “We hope that with the development of this process, the Ministry of Energy can implement the goals of developing the water and wastewater market, providing financial resources for the implementation of projects, and facilitating the replacement of wastewater with quality water resources and provide it to the industry and municipalities.”

According to the CEO of Iran’s Water and Wastewater Engineering Company, development of water recycling, systematization, clarification of supply and demand processes, and facilitation of investment and participation are other goals of this action.
