The Minister of Oil announced the operation of 5 large petrochemical projects by the end of this year and said: The Ibn Sina Petrochemical Project in Hamadan was approved in 2003 during the visit of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution to this province, but it remained undecided until recently with a value of one billion dollars.

According to Energy Press, this morning – Wednesday 27 January 1402 – Javad Oji presented a report to the president in the meeting of the government board, stating that “in addition to Hamedan Petrochemical, the Ministry of Petroleum has followed the implementation of 5 other large petrochemical projects, 4 of which are petrochemical units. They have been suspended and undecided since 2013 and 2015”, he noted: Zanjan petrochemical project, despite 98,000 public investors in the province, was one of the other pending projects from 2015, which was activated from the beginning of the popular government, and its implementation progressed from 18% to 53%. The percentage has been reached.
Petrochemical projects of Golestan, Torbat Heydarieh and Borujen were among the other projects in progress, which the oil minister mentioned in his report about their activation and the importance of using these projects to prevent crude sales, earn currency and create employment.
