It is also stated in the continuation of this letter that if “STC” company does not send its steel commitments as soon as possible, Iran will directly enter into a deal with “Isar” steel company of India, which supplies steel for export to STC company.

Now, after nearly 10 years, today, during the hearing of the Energy Commission’s report on the bill to refer the dispute between the Iran Gas Engineering and Development Company and the State Trading Company of India (STC) to arbitration, they approved the general aspects of this bill.

Mostafa Nakhai, the spokesperson of the Parliament Energy Commission, explained this report: In 2013, a three-year contract was signed between Iran Gas Engineering and Development Company and STC India Company, and the Iranian side fulfilled its obligations based on this contract, but the company India’s state-owned enterprises have fulfilled less than one-fifth of their commitments during this period.

According to the spokesperson of the Parliament’s Energy Commission, if this bill is approved, Iran Gas Engineering and Development Company will be given the possibility to pursue this issue legally.

Masoud Sarlak, legal director of Iran Gas Development Engineering Company, in an interview with Mehr reporter, referring to the lawsuit filed by Majlis with Hindustani Company, said: This contract was concluded in 1392 and was based on the manufacture and sale of steel sheets by an Indian company to Iran.

He continued: A three-year contract for the purchase of 2,500 million tons of steel worth 2.5 billion dollars was signed, and the steel sheet manufacturer announced at the time of depositing the money that Indian banks are subject to sanctions and should consider S.R.O.Pol instead of oil. Steel sheet production company to pay.
