What percentage of the world’s mining is related to Iran?

According to Energy Press, Mohammad El-Dad, Deputy Head of Transfer and Executive Director of the Cryptocurrency Project of Tavanir Company, said in relation to the news published regarding the issues raised that 5% of the world’s mining is carried out in Iran, “In recent days, numerous news and figures have been raised in Iran about the significant decrease in the global processing and hash rate recorded in the global Bitcoin networks.” He continued: “These figures ranged from 5% to 12%, and various sites and experts in this matter pointed to the decrease in the global hash rate, which 12% is a very large number, but from the load behavior information that we have extracted relatively accurately, we witnessed a power reduction of up to 2,400 megawatts in the country’s load on the days when the internet was down.”
