The head of the Process Engineering Group of the Technical Standards and Regulations Department of the General Directorate of the Technical, Executive and Evaluation System of the Engineering, Research and Technology Department of the Ministry of Oil said: "To become an energy hub in the region, we must achieve world-class technology so that we can compete with companies such as Aramco and Qatar Petroleum."

According to Energy Press, Mohsen Shiri stated this morning (Tuesday) at the final meeting of the specialized commission for compiling the sulfur storage and transportation standard, stating that this standard is being written for the first time in the world: “In November last year, the meetings for compiling the sulfur storage and transportation standard actually began, and given the importance of the issue, we decided to hold the meetings next to the operational areas to get to know the problems up close.” He pointed out that we held meetings at the Shahid Hasheminejad Gas Refinery and Razi Petrochemical, adding: “Several projects were implemented at the Shahid Hasheminejad Gas Refinery, and we also presented solutions to solve the Razi Petrochemical feed problem.” Meetings were also held at the Oil Industry Research Institute, the National Iranian Gas Company, and the Pars Oil and Gas Company, and this meeting is the thirteenth and final meeting for compiling the sulfur storage and transportation standard. The head of the Process Engineering Group of the Technical Standards and Regulations Department of the General Directorate of the Technical, Executive and Evaluation System of the Ministry of Oil, the Head of the Engineering, Research and Technology Department, stated that we must find the standard in the heart of the operator himself, and said: Our view at the headquarters is not just a standard view, but seeks to resolve the challenges in the industry.

Referring to the nationalization of the hydrogen standard for the first time in the country, Shiri stated: We have on our agenda the development of green and blue hydrogen standards to enter new technologies, and also writing the helium standard will be the main chain of technology, and in order to become an energy hub in the region, we must achieve world-class technology so that we can compete with companies such as Aramco and Qatar Petroleum.
Stating that the Seventh Development Plan has mentioned the importance of using new and renewable energies, he continued: The LPG that is currently burning in the torch is equivalent to 5 refineries.
