The plan proposed by the Minister of oil to increase production
According to Energy Press, every 100,000 barrels of oil per day generates 2 billion and 800 million dollars of income for the country every year, so the more the oil production and refining capacity of the country increases, the more economic power and foreign exchange resources will increase. The government also increases. Liquid hydrocarbon reserves are more than 153 billion barrels, and the more we can increase oil production and refinery capacity, the more significant foreign exchange revenues will reach the government, which will increase the economic power of the government and the country’s foreign exchange resources.
Although the increase of crude oil production capacity was on the agenda in the 13th government, but due to the nature of this issue, it should be carefully followed up in the 14th government as well, and in this context, the examination of the plan proposed by the Minister of Petroleum shows that field by field and project by project The project has been worked on this capacity. In the program of Mohsen Paknejad, the proposed oil minister, it is stated: “Iran’s crude oil production after the JCPOA and before the return of international sanctions in 2017 was on average equal to 3826 thousand barrels per day.
Currently, although the obstacles to oil export have been gradually removed and there is a possibility of maximum production from oil fields, it has decreased to about 3,400,000 barrels per day. It seems that the cause of this issue is the delay in the implementation of oil field development plans as well as the insufficient implementation of production maintenance plans, and if this trend continues in the next 4 years with a decrease in daily production of 600 thousand barrels, the country’s production will reach 2750 thousand barrels. It arrives in a day.
At the same time, due to the increasing trend of product consumption in the country, the main part of this amount of production in 1407 was only responsible for the refinery sector and domestic consumption, and only about 950 thousand barrels per day will remain for export, which will leave the country with serious challenges. will face the provision of income. Therefore, it is necessary to solve the challenges and develop short-term and long-term plans to increase the country’s crude oil production in the next 4 years by giving priority to common fields and increasing the recovery rate.
The main programs related to short-term (one-year) measures include restoring the production capacity of existing fields through the implementation of production capacity maintenance plans and accelerating the increase in production resulting from the implementation of existing contracts assigned for the development and maintenance of production capacity, by implementing related measures repair of existing wells and acid treatment, reticulation and injection of solvent to wells with a drop in production and acceleration in defined projects to maintain production capacity by drilling new wells in developed fields, which is estimated to require an investment of about 3 billion dollars Yes, the production capacity of the existing oil fields will increase from about 3,400,000 barrels per day to about 3,850,000 barrels per day.
Accelerating the increase in production due to the implementation of existing contracts assigned for the development and maintenance of production capacity, including the contracts related to the development of the joint oil fields of South Azadegan (25 thousand barrels per day), Yadavaran (10 thousand barrels per day), Yaran (9 thousand barrels per day) days) and Sohrab (2 thousand barrels per day) and Sepehr and Jafir fields (10 thousand barrels per day) with the aim of increasing production to 56 thousand barrels per day.
