The need to use renewable energy in electricity production

A member of the Energy Commission of the Islamic Council, stating that we are witnessing the imbalance of electricity in the field of gas and electricity, said: We must use renewable energy in electricity production.

According to the report of Energy Press, Hossein Hosseinzadeh stated about energy consumption management solutions: We have disharmony in the field of gas and electricity, which is the Achilles heel of the country’s energy and sometimes leads to the closure of educational institutions, offices, institutions and industry. The result is a lot of economic losses to the country.

Stating that 40 to 45 percent of the energy loss goes back to the Ministry of Energy, he said: We have losses in the production, transmission and distribution of electricity, for which arrangements should be made. As such, a basic thought must be done for the efficiency of power plants.

This member of the Energy Commission of the Islamic Council explained: Power plants are not combined cycle and only one cycle is used. The efficiency of power plants should reach above 50%, in the situation where the lowest efficiency of power plants in Europe is 55%, but the highest consumption rate in our country is 38%.

Emphasizing that the fuel diversification of power plants should be operationalized quickly, he added: We have a mismatch in production and consumption, therefore, the “Bam Niro” plan should be followed more seriously in farms, workshops, residential, commercial and administrative places. And use the capacity of other countries in the field of investment with the BOO method.

Hosseinzadeh also stated: renewable energies should be used in electricity production, wind and solar energies can be used; These solutions are all short-term and can be implemented within a year so that we are less likely to face the problem of lack of electricity; Of course, due to wear and tear in the field of electricity transmission and distribution, it takes time to solve the imbalance, but this problem is not insurmountable.
