The National Petrochemical Industries Company was awarded the top ranking in electricity consumption management

According to Energy Press, citing the National Petrochemical Industries Company, a seminar on “Load Response Plans” for office subscribers was held by the Capital Electricity Distribution Company with the aim of encouraging subscribers of offices in the metropolitan Tehran to comply with the instructions and procedures issued for managing electricity consumption.
Masoud Azizi, Deputy Director of Sales and Customer Services of the Capital Electricity Distribution Company, stated in this meeting that household energy consumption in Iran is 2.5 times the global average, and announced: Tehran’s electricity consumption is also very high, and 12 to 15 percent of it is related to the office sector, therefore, the implementation of consumption management plans has begun since the beginning of May 1404.
Referring to the allocation of 2.5 Hemat special credit for plans to overcome the summer peak and provide peace to Tehrani compatriots, he emphasized the need to observe the new working hours, turn off cooling systems during peak consumption hours, and activate diesel generators in offices, and added: “Just one kilowatt-hour of savings can be equivalent to the energy required for 100 hours of lighting an LED lamp.”
