The meeting of the parliament’s energy committee to review the supply of winter fuel with the presence of the deputy minister of oil

According to Energy Press report, Jalil Mukhtar explained the meeting of the Energy Commission of the Islamic Council on Tuesday, referring to the presence of Mohammad Sadegh Azimifar, the CEO of Iran’s National Oil Products Refining and Distribution Company, in order to check the sustainable supply of winter fuel in the country. year and the need to assess the current conditions and the number of challenges and solve them, he invited the deputy minister and the CEO of the National Refining and Distribution Company and the CEOs of the selected oil refineries to answer the questions of the delegates while presenting the report of their respective companies.
He added: In this meeting, while presenting the product consumption situation in different sectors, Azimifar explained the production situation and liquid fuel reserves in the country to the representatives. Fortunately, in Shahrivar, with the measures of the National Petroleum Refining and Distribution Company, in cooperation with the country’s refineries, and despite the average increase in gasoline consumption to the amount of 10 million liters per day, the supply and distribution of gasoline adequately met the created demands.
The spokesperson of the Parliament’s Energy Commission stated: On average, in the 6 months of this year, compared to the same period in 2023, the consumption of gasoline has increased by 8% and the consumption of diesel by 6%. Measures should be taken to manage consumption and diversify the fuel portfolio.
