The level of oil and gas reserves at power plants reached 1.5 billion liters
The level of oil and gas storage in power plants in the first two months of 2025 has reached about 1.5 billion liters, an increase of more than 85 percent compared to the same period last year; an impressive figure that indicates the Ministry of Petroleum's readiness to provide sustainable energy in the country.

According to Energy Press, the supply and management of liquid fuel reserves for power plants, as an important part of the country’s energy chain, is one of the fundamental duties of the Ministry of Petroleum. In a situation where increasing demand has created numerous challenges in fuel supply, the Ministry of Petroleum’s plans to increase storage capacity, optimize, supply, and formulate sustainable policies are a determining factor in maintaining the country’s energy sustainability.
According to the latest statistics provided, from April 1 to the end of May this year, more than 2 billion liters of oil and gas were delivered to power plants, which is an increase of about 600 million liters, equivalent to 42 percent, compared to the figure of 1 billion and 400 million liters in the same period last year (April 1 to the end of May 1403).
The amount of furnace oil delivered in the first two months of this year was about 1.8 billion liters, which is an increase of more than 600 million liters, equivalent to 52 percent, compared to the same period last year (the first two months of 1403), which was about 1.2 billion liters.
46 percent growth in liquid fuel deliveries to power plants
In total, from April 1 to the end of May this year, more than 3.8 billion liters of liquid fuel (oil, gas and furnace oil) were delivered to power plants, which is an increase of more than 1.2 billion liters, equivalent to 46 percent, compared to the figure of 2.6 billion liters in the same period last year (April 1 to the end of May 1403).
