The CEO of Iran's continental shelf oil company said: The overhaul operation of the Salman platform, as the largest oil platform in the Persian Gulf, was successfully completed in the shortest possible time, and this common oil field returned to production.

According to Energy Press, Alireza Mehdizadeh added: After more than three decades have passed since the major repairs of the Salman platform, and considering the operational needs and the platform’s need to carry out these repairs, as well as in order to prevent the occurrence of a long-term stoppage of oil production, this project, It started at the end of May of this year and it ended after 3 weeks of exhausting work.

He said: Among the measures taken, it is possible to mention the repair of the crack in the header pipeline, replacement of worn out pipelines with new ones, replacement of worn out valves, fixing the leakage from the air system of the platform’s instrumentation, etc. The production was completed in the shortest time.

CEO of Iranian Continental Plateau Oil Company said: In order to carry out major repairs of the Salman platform, permission was received from the National Iranian Oil Company to shut down the platform for one month. ended

He stated that in this operation there was a unique participation of colleagues from Lavan region, Salman platform and other platforms, he said: due to the technical problems of Salman platform due to wear and tear etc. Even during their rest, they expressed their desire to participate in this project, and for this reason, the power of the executive force was doubled for this operation, and by doing 16 hours of executive work a day, it was completed a week earlier than the schedule.
