The deputy director of water exploitation and development of the water and sewerage company of Tehran province said: the disruption and failure of water supply in some cities of Tehran province was caused by the sudden heat wave entering Tehran province, because all the water supply systems in Tehran province until that moment were not suitable for cool conditions and temperatures. It was regulated at least from surface water sources.

According to the report of Energy Press, quoting from the water supply department of Tehran province, “Hossam Khosravi” added: “With immediate measures, all network pressure control systems were adjusted to the heat condition and according to the air temperature, and now there is no problem with water supply in any part of the capital city.” .

Khosravi pointed out the drop in underground water resources in the west of Tehran, especially Shahryar and the overflowing population of the capital in this area and said: With the set of urgent measures taken by the Tehran Province Water and Sewerage Company in recent days, the problem of pressure drop and disruption in Water supply has been eliminated and the water distribution network of Shahriar city has reached a stable state in many places.

He further announced the implementation of emergency projects in the next two weeks in the west of Tehran province and said: According to this plan, we will use surface water resources as much as possible and by implementing the reengineering projects of five wells, drilling and equipping them. Two new wells and four wells of high quality agricultural sector will be significantly added to drinking water resources with that specific quality.
