The expansion of relations with China is the main reason for the increase in Iran’s oil exports

According to Energy Press report, Mohsen Qamsari, in response to the recent statements of the Minister of Oil, who said that the government has sold crude oil to anywhere in the world it wants, until now crude oil is being exported to 17 countries in the world, said: Oil export information is not available. But the fact is that if it is said that we are now exporting oil to 17 countries, the reasons and evidence should be evident, in any case, we cannot confirm or deny the export figures and destinations that are being announced now.
He added: It cannot be denied that the country’s export conditions have improved compared to the beginning of the Shahid Raisi government, and they have increased from about 500,000 barrels of oil to more than one million barrels per day. In general, the export situation is better than the beginning of the current government, but we can Exporting to a country other than China requires many infrastructures that do not exist.
The former director of international affairs of the National Iranian Oil Company told Ilna: The necessary conditions must be provided for this work to be done and for the customers and destinations of oil exports to change and improve. Mainly, financial conditions should be provided, if the cargo is sold somewhere, the country’s banking systems should be able to provide the possibility of financial transfers, which the financial system is currently unable to do. He pointed out: In order to carry out oil transactions at the world level, we need insurance and risk coverage contracts, banking and transportation channels as the main logistics tools and complementary support for the tools needed for transactions, which are not available at the moment.
Qamsari emphasized: Foreign diplomacy and diplomatic relations are things that can help the oil export process, if the infrastructure is provided, the possibility of exporting to countries other than China, including European countries, can also be provided.
He attributed the increase in oil exports to the increase in cooperation between Iran and China and said: “During this period, we have been able to sign treaties with this country and Fimabin’s trade has increased.” These treaties require funding, the Chinese need money to be able to implement these treaties. Therefore, it is natural that they provided the conditions for us to export more oil to this country, so it can be said that diplomatic efforts in the field of greater communication with China have played a role and been effective in this field to a large extent. The former director of international affairs of the National Iranian Oil Company said about the oil export situation in the 14th government: it is impossible to predict exactly where the situation will go, the export conditions are partially related to America’s behavior with us and the interactions that the new government will have with the world.
