The energy consumption index in Iran is worrying

The head of the National Productivity Organization of Iran added: In the first stage, it is necessary to pay attention to the issue of how much GDP is created for the electricity consumed.
He added: Meanwhile, in calculating the productivity of the electricity industry, a series of technical indicators have also been mentioned, among them the loss during transmission and the efficiency of power plants.
Stating that Iran is in a worse condition in the field of energy consumption index compared to other countries, Pishvai said: “The country ranked last in this field in 2022, which is worrying.”
While giving a positive evaluation about the products presented in the field of renewables, he said: many of these products have not entered the market despite having the right capacity and potential. Currently, there are about seven knowledge-based manufacturers of BLDC electric motors for water coolers in the country, but none of the companies could gain their place in the market and develop.
The head of Iran’s National Productivity Organization reminded: Today, most of the world’s countries have diversified their energy supply sources and this increases risk-taking; In a way, the situation is managed in different crises.
Stating that the capacity of non-renewable energy sources is decreasing with the passage of time, he added: the potential of this is well present in Iran and it is possible to benefit from it in different dimensions of renewable energy.
While pointing to the advancement of practical measures in the last two years in order to develop the energy portfolio of the country with the benefit of renewables, he said: despite the very good performance in the development of renewables, it is necessary to expand this process, the realization of which requires the formulation of a comprehensive plan to Through that, a diverse energy portfolio will be provided for the country.
Peshwai noted: Iran can compete with other countries in terms of technical knowledge and research in the field of renewable energy development. It is hoped that with the good foundations that have been established during these two years, a stable institutional structure for renewable energy and energy efficiency will be created.
