According to Energy Press, Alireza Parandehmutlaq said about the renewable electricity export program: The export of renewable energy has a resolution that Tavanir Company has announced the export capacity of 300 megawatts for the whole country during the survey. It means that this amount of electricity will be sent to the markets of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq and Turkey.
He added: The next plan is to develop the transmission and super-distribution network. This capacity has not been announced yet, but the total export capacity is 300 megawatts for all neighbors.
The technical and engineering deputy of the Renewable Energy and Electricity Efficiency Organization said about the export of renewable electricity to Afghanistan: Afghanistan does not have much capacity through the existing network, and this capacity must be developed, that is, Afghanistan itself must build 50 km of 230 KV lines and 2 230 KV substations. to be able to receive electricity from Iran.
He emphasized: If Afghan lines are developed, it will be possible to receive 120 megawatts of energy from Zaranj.
Parandemutlaq noted: If the Milnader power plant is developed, wind power will be exported to Afghanistan, and in this way we will export wind power instead of fossil power.
Announcing that Iran’s first export of renewable electricity will be to Pakistan, he said: Now Pakistan’s capacity is ready through the south of Sistan and Baluchistan province, and the first electricity export will be from this direction, but there is also capacity in Turkey and Iraq. The export of renewable electricity to these countries depends on the tender that will be held soon and also depends on which line the investor wants to invest in.
