The activities of the world’s three largest cyber security products and systems companies in Iran
According to Energy Press, the Strategic Management Center of Afta on the 19th of July this year in a letter No. 9431/03/A/A to the devices with critical infrastructure of the country, the organization of the computer trade union system and companies active in the field of supplying products, systems and platforms in the field of information security and Communications had announced that the condition of operation and supply of foreign cyber security products and systems is the introduction of an official domestic legal representative with full powers in Iran.
It has been heard that the three big cyber security companies PT- (Positive Technologies), Acron and Sangfour respectively from Russia, India and China have accepted the conditions of AFTA Strategic Management Center to operate in Iran and all three companies are authorized legal representatives. They have introduced themselves to this center.
In this way, from now on, the products, systems and platforms in the field of information and communication security of these three security companies will be sent to the Iranian consumer market.
By setting a three-month deadline, Afta emphasized that the suppliers of foreign products, systems and platforms in the field of security are obliged to launch the service of updating the required equipment and systems inside Iran, so that under no circumstances in the process of updating the products used by customers, There should be no delay.
According to the principles and rules of AFTA Strategic Management Center, the suppliers of foreign products, systems and platforms in the field of security are obliged to store and process the data of Iranian users inside the country, and without obtaining written permission from AFTA Strategic Management Center, these companies are allowed to transfer directly or indirectly, no data and information such as network architecture and customer assets are outside of Iran.
According to the conditions announced by AFTA Strategic Management Center, PT, Arcon and Sangfor companies know that they are obliged to inform AFTA Center of the processing patterns and outputs reflected abroad regarding the use of artificial intelligence and the creation of huge data.
Based on the conditions they accepted to operate in Iran, the three major Russian, Indian, and Chinese cyber security product manufacturers provide the services of the Managed Threat Detection and Response (MDR) system centrally inside Iran and under the supervision of the Presidential Strategic Management Center.
