Deputy Minister of Energy Tarz Talab announced an increase of 500 megawatts in the capacity of renewable power plants by the end of this year, adding: "The capacity of new energies in the country will increase to more than 1,800 megawatts this year."

The Minister of Energy said: During my trip to China, negotiations were held with the companies of this country to develop cooperation in the field of renewables.

The CEO of Tehran Regional Electricity Company said: In the field of renewables, we have entered with a more serious approach, and for the first step, the first renewable power plant of one megawatt is to be established in the heart of Tehran.

The spokesperson of the country's water industry said: Considering the decrease of one billion cubic meters of water from renewable sources every year, it can be said that in the last 30 years and with the decrease of 30 billion cubic meters of water, the country's per capita renewable water has decreased significantly.

According to the report of the Monitoring Center of Renewable Energy Resources and Scattered Production, the amount of energy produced by renewable sources in June reached 230 million kilowatt-hours.
