With the launch of the CCR (gasoline production) unit of the Tehran Refinery, with 80% progress, 22% of the refinery's gasoline capacity will be added and 1.5 million liters will be added to the country's gasoline production capacity. In addition to all the gasoline produced, the refinery will be upgraded to the Euro 5 standard.

The director of the National Petroleum Products Distribution Company in South Khorasan announced that more than 12 million liters of gasoline were saved in the first quarter of 1405 by replacing CNG consumption, and said: "In addition to significantly reducing gasoline consumption, the use of CNG has played an effective role in energy management and reducing environmental pollutants in the province."

A member of the Energy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly said: "We must reduce the country's dependence on gasoline by diversifying the energy portfolio and using alternative fuels."

The government spokesman, in a note referring to enemy attacks on oil facilities and refineries, emphasized that the revision of the gasoline quota was carried out within the framework of managing the conditions of the imposed war and protecting the country's energy security, and the subsidized quota of 60 liters at a rate of 1,500 tomans for private cars remained unchanged.

While the country's gasoline production has reached 121 million liters per day, its consumption is 135 million liters per day.

Due to the increasing gap between gasoline production and consumption, the country's current daily gasoline supply capacity is about 120 million liters, while daily consumption has reached 134 million liters and is expected to exceed 140 million liters in the summer.
