Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: We do not accept unilateral claims about the Arash gas field

According to Energy Press, Esmail Baghaei stated today (Tuesday, September 1) in a press conference regarding the joint statement of the Gulf Cooperation Council, as well as Iran’s position on the two main issues, namely the Iranian islands and the Arash field: “We announced our positions in almost detail in the statement that was published today. In this statement, we emphasized that the repetition of territorial claims, which constitute a foreign exchange expectation against part of the territory of an independent state, is not acceptable under any circumstances. These claims and their repetition do not create any rights for the other side and only fuel misunderstandings, in a situation where the region must unite and unite with a single voice against the main danger, namely the expansionism and warmongering of the Zionist regime and the genocide of the Muslim people in occupied Palestine.”
