South Pars Besat Combined Cycle Power Plant Steam Unit Put into Production

According to Energy Press, Touraj Dehghani, referring to the country’s needs and emphasizing the Minister of Oil and CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company on comprehensive support to help stabilize the country’s national electricity network, stated: The first steam generation unit of the Besat combined cycle power plant was put into production at full capacity after the operational restrictions were lifted. He stated that the operation of the combined cycle section of the Besat South Pars power plant will result in significant savings in gas consumption for electricity generation, and stated: In this way, the thermal energy from the exhaust gases of the gas turbines of the centralized power plant is recycled and used in the steam turbines of the combined cycle section.
