A memorandum of understanding to reduce fuel consumption intensity and increase productivity in power plants with investment from the petrochemical industry was signed between the National Petrochemical Industries Company and the specialized parent company for thermal power generation in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Oil.

According to Shana, citing the National Petrochemical Company, the Memorandum of Understanding between the National Petrochemical Company and the specialized parent company for thermal power generation was signed today (Sunday, February 16) on the sidelines of the specialized exhibition “Energy Cycle” between Hassan Abbaszadeh, CEO of the National Petrochemical Company, and Azim Etemadi, CEO of the specialized parent company for thermal power generation.

Based on this memorandum, the two parties have committed to bilateral cooperation for the investment of petrochemical companies in projects to optimize fuel consumption, improve productivity, increase energy efficiency, and implement practical savings in power plants.

Based on the provisions of the memorandum, the fuel saved in these projects will be provided to the investing companies through gas utility companies and its results will be provided in the form of energy savings certificates. This plan aims to reduce fuel consumption intensity, increase energy efficiency, and enhance added value in the petrochemical industry.
