Significant increase in Iran’s electricity consumption to 71 thousand megawatts
According to Energy Press, Maziar Jamshidi, the director of operation and control of the electricity network, said about the state of the country’s electricity network: “For today, July 13, we predict that the daily peak load demand will reach 71,500 megawatts, of course, the electricity network is currently stable.
Comparing this year’s consumption with last year’s, he said: In the first half of July 2023, the country’s consumption had never reached 70,000 megawatts. Last week, our electricity consumption in the channel was 72 and 73 thousand megawatts.
He added: “From the coming days, we are facing a heat wave in most places, and the consumption demand will increase accordingly, and we expect to consume 73,000 megawatts compared to these days.”
