Shahid Tondgoyan Petrochemical’s self-sufficiency in foreign catalyst

According to Energy Press, citing the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company, Amin Malekzadeh, head of the Shahid Tondgoyan Petrochemical Company Complex, referring to the signing of a memorandum of understanding for the production of two catalysts, “cobalt acetate and manganese acetate,” which was signed in a ceremony attended by the President between the CEO of Shahid Tondgoyan Petrochemical Company and the CEO of the Special Petrochemical Zone Organization, said: “The value of the new Iranianization plan in the “polyethylene terephthalate” production chain of the Iranian petrochemical industry is 486 billion tomans and 2.3 million euros, and the production of these two new catalysts will bring 2 million euros in economic savings to the country annually.” He announced that so far, out of a total of seven catalysts used by Shahid Tondgoyan Petrochemical Company, we have obtained technical knowledge or the production of 6 catalysts with the participation of Iranian knowledge-based companies by signing the memorandum, and stated: “The domestic production of the last catalyst will also be carried out within the next three to six months.”
