Russian plan to bury Iranian gas alive

Russian plan to bury Iranian gas alive
energy balance; This is the highlight of the negotiation of Alexander Miller, the special representative of the Russian President, with Mohammad Mokhbar after the Russian gas export contract to Iran, which is proudly announced to the media; According to experts, the contract could mean burying Iran's gas alive.

According to Energy Press, there is no news about the details of the contract, nor is it known how much gas from Russia is going to enter Iran. Even the time and place of this import is not known, let alone the agreed rate for this exchange. It is more like a party or a diplomatic compliment; Just like the previous contracts that Russia has signed with Iran.
Of course, some like Mohammad Sadegh Jokar, the head of the Institute of Energy Studies, said that the import is supposed to take place through a pipeline that passes through the Republic of Azerbaijan and reaches Iran. Despite this, the Ministry of Oil has not officially provided any explanation about the method of this connection and the details of the contract.
Experts say that regardless of how this contract will be concluded in the last days of the 13th government during the leadership of Mohammad Mokhbar, there are many uncertainties. First, Iran has the second largest gas reserves in the world, what does the export of gas from Russia to Iran mean? Is Iran supposed to export Russian gas to, for example, Iraq or Pakistan? Is Iran’s territory a route for the transit of Russian gas? If the answer is yes, then it is considered a disaster that Russia has taken over Iran’s customers.
The more important question is, if Iran is going to sell Russian gas to other countries, what will happen to the investment that this country was supposed to make on Iran’s gas fields? Why should we not extract and export our own gas resources? Does the sale of Russian gas mean giving up hope of producing large amounts of gas for export? These are examples of questions that we addressed in the conversation with the expert.
import of gas; The most effortless work
Morteza Behrouzifar, an energy expert regarding the import of gas from Russia, told “Jahansanat”: We have a gas imbalance and gas consumption is more than our production, which shows itself even more in winter. This dissatisfaction is so great that we are not able to compensate for it even in summers. There are 3 ways to solve this problem, two of which are logical and principled in my opinion, and the other one is unprincipled.
He added: First, measures should be taken to optimize consumption; This optimization should be done in the domestic, commercial, industry and power plants sectors so that we can reduce consumption by optimizing consumption and maintaining well-being. For example, in the domestic sector, whether the heater or the package is suitable for the world’s modern technology and has the lowest consumption and the highest efficiency. Modify our power plants so that they have a consumption that is proportional to high efficiency. On the other hand, in the upstream sector, we can increase production by attracting capital and technical knowledge as well as modern facilities. While we unfortunately fell behind in these two solutions and found a third solution to solve the problem with imports.
