Resolving gas export issues and financial claims between Iran and Iraq

According to Energy Press, today (Saturday, August 1) on the sidelines of a meeting with Iraqi Minister of Electricity Ziad Fadel and the accompanying delegation, Mohsen Paknejad spoke to Shana reporter, referring to the contract between the two countries to deliver gas to the country’s power plants from two border points (Shalmcheh and Naftshahr) and said about the volume of gas exports: “There were discussions regarding the quantity of exported gas, which fortunately we were able to reach a conclusion.” He added: “We also reached positive and good results regarding the demands we had for exported gas, and God willing, we will soon see the resolution of both issues, namely the quantity of gas exports to Iraq and the receipt of the demands.”
