Renewable energies supplying the electricity consumed by Iran’s executive bodies for the next four years
According to Energy Press, citing the Ministry of Energy, in line with the implementation of the legal duties of the Ministry of Energy in the field of renewable and clean power plant development and with the aim of implementing Article 8 of the Supreme Energy Council of the country, all executive bodies subject to Article (5) of the Civil Service Law are required to pay five percent annually To supply their electric energy consumption until reaching the share of 20% of annual consumption through renewable and clean energies.
In order to implement the above resolution, the executive procedure of providing at least 20% of the electricity consumption of eligible customers through renewable and clean energies was announced by the Minister of Energy. From the beginning of 1403, eligible subscribers must increase five percent of their electricity consumption through renewable and clean energy and increase it to twenty percent (5 percent per year) over a period of four years. If this issue is not observed, the excess energy consumed will be calculated in the electricity bill of these subscribers based on the maximum rate of the green electricity board of the Energy Exchange in the month before the billing of the eligible subscribers.
Therefore, providing all or part of the electricity consumed by the eligible customers by one of the methods, including the construction of renewable and clean power plants by obtaining the necessary permits for each of the buildings of the eligible customers or collectively for several buildings of the eligible customers, purchased from the green electricity board. It is possible in physical form or renewable electricity certificate and to conclude a bilateral contract with the renewable power plant within the framework of current laws and regulations.
