Record sweet gas production at South Pars Refinery 8
The manager of the eighth refinery of the South Pars Gas Complex said: "The eighth refinery of the South Pars Gas Complex, relying on modern technologies and using 100 percent domestic products, has been able to produce more than 6 billion cubic meters of sweetened gas in the first half of this year and transfer it to the national pipeline."

According to Energy Press, citing the South Pars Gas Complex Company, Hadi Chabok explained the impressive achievements of this refinery and said: The Eighth Refinery has been able to take effective steps in receiving, sweetening and producing gas by-products by relying on 100% use of domestic goods and utilizing modern technologies.
Referring to the receipt of 7 billion and 604 million cubic meters of sour gas from the South Pars platforms, he added: During this period, more than 6 billion and 712 million cubic meters of gas have been sweetened and transferred to the national line.
Referring to the production of by-products, the manager of the Eighth Refinery of the South Pars Gas Complex stated: In the first half of this year, the Eighth Refinery has succeeded in producing 36 thousand tons of sulfur, 197 thousand tons of ethane, 287 thousand tons of propane and 49 thousand tons of butane, which these figures indicate a significant increase in the refinery’s productivity and production capacity.
