Record delivery of more than 6 billion cubic meters of natural gas in the country

According to Energy Press, this year’s cold snap began in November, an unprecedented cold snap compared to recent years, and continued for most of the rest of the year. The cold snap peaked last week, setting two new records for gas consumption in the residential, commercial, and small-scale industries; gas consumption on Tuesday and Wednesday (March 27 and 28), reaching 692 and 703 million cubic meters, respectively. This year, upstream institutions estimated the amount of gas consumed in the residential, commercial, and small-scale industries to be an average of 371 million cubic meters per day for November, 468 million cubic meters for December, 538 million cubic meters for January, 540 million cubic meters for February, and 439 million cubic meters for March. However, due to the continued cold weather, the amount of natural gas delivered to the national grid exceeded these values; The average daily gas delivery was recorded at 417 million cubic meters in November, 561 million cubic meters in December, 614 million cubic meters in January, and 636 million cubic meters in February.
During the last week (March 24-25), which was the coldest day of the year, gas consumption in the domestic, commercial, and industrial sectors experienced an unprecedented increase, and on Tuesday (March 25), a new record of 703 million cubic meters of gas consumption was recorded in this sector, so that 82 percent of the country’s total gas production was allocated to the domestic and commercial sectors.
According to this report, 863 million cubic meters of gas were injected into the network on March 24, of which 589 million cubic meters were consumed in the domestic and commercial sectors. Also, on the 25th and 26th of March, as the cold weather continued, gas delivery to the network was 870 and 862 million cubic meters, respectively, and household and commercial consumption reached 606 and 645 million cubic meters on these days. Gas consumption in the household, commercial, and small industries sectors reached its highest level on 27th and 28th of March. On 28th of March, 867 million cubic meters of natural gas was delivered to the network, of which 692 million cubic meters were consumed in the household and commercial sectors. On 29th of March, this trend continued, and with the delivery of 856 million cubic meters of natural gas, the country’s household and commercial consumption reached 703 million cubic meters. On the 29th and 30th of March, the amount of gas delivery remained at a high level. On 29th of March, 866 million cubic meters of natural gas were produced and 684 million cubic meters were consumed in the household and commercial sectors. On the last day of last week, March 10, 864 million cubic meters of natural gas were injected into the network, and domestic and commercial consumption on this day reached 649 million cubic meters.
