A spokesman for the Tehran Provincial Gas Company announced the gas cutoff for the railway company and the issuance of a warning to the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development on the first day of implementing the special patrols plan for gas consumption management.

According to Energy Press, citing Tehran Province Gas Company, Ali Asghar Navaei announced the details of the first day of special gas consumption management patrols in government offices and public places and said: “During these field visits, the gas flow of the railway company was cut off due to non-cooperation and obstruction of inspections in accordance with regulations.” Referring to the written warning from the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development for not observing the comfort temperature, he added: “This department is required to observe the comfort temperature and provide the possibility of experts’ visits in future visits, otherwise, it will face gas cuts like other violating institutions.” The head of public relations for the Tehran Provincial Gas Company stated that special patrols are being carried out to monitor the strict implementation of the Cabinet’s approvals with the aim of managing consumption during the cold months of the year. He added: “The National Iranian Gas Company is obliged to closely monitor the gas consumption of all government agencies and public places, and if any violations are observed, including temperatures exceeding 20 degrees Celsius, the use of high-energy heating equipment, or failure to cooperate with inspectors, it will take the necessary legal measures.”
