According to Energy Press, citing Tavanir, Mustafa Rajabi Mashhadi announced the launch of a plan that, by expanding the installation of 5-kilowatt solar power plants in the household sector, will enable subscribers to not only meet part of their electricity needs during times of grid restrictions, but also compensate for the cost of building the power plant by selling electricity to the grid. The electricity industry spokesperson said that this plan, which is about to be finalized, includes the installation of 5-kilowatt solar panels, which require about 20 to 25 square meters of space, and the electricity produced by these generators will be purchased at the green electricity purchase rate of about 3,000 Tomans per kilowatt-hour, which is attractive enough for investment compared to the electricity price of household subscribers who follow the model (200 Tomans).
