Production capacity of supplementary oil and gas well strings increased

Production capacity of supplementary oil and gas well strings increased
The production capacity of supplementary strings for oil and gas wells on land and offshore increased with a focus on developing indigenous and Iranian technologies in the country; a strategic move that, by strengthening domestic capacity, paves the way for self-sufficiency in vital equipment for the energy industry and the export of these products.

According to Energy Press, well completion is a critical step in the drilling and production process of oil and gas wells. This step involves the design and installation of equipment and systems that enable the optimal, safe, and economical extraction of reservoir fluids. The selection of the type of completion string depends on several factors, such as reservoir pressure and temperature, the type of fluid produced, the location of the well (onshore or offshore), and the geological conditions of the area. Completion strings can also include casing, packers, flow control valves, sand removal equipment, and other related components, each of which plays a critical role in the performance and safety of the well. In offshore wells, due to specific environmental conditions and access restrictions, the design of completion strings is more sensitive. More advanced systems such as subsea trees or intelligent completions are used in these wells to enable remote control and precise monitoring of well performance. In contrast, in onshore wells, due to ease of access and lower costs, more classic methods can be used. In both cases, the main purpose of implementing completions is to provide a safe and effective path for production from the well, control flow, prevent the entry of sand or undesirable water, and prepare the well for long-term operation.
