Producing gasoline from methanol ruled out
According to an exclusive report by Energy Press, Matin Didari, CEO of Zagros Petrochemical Company, explained the latest status of the project in an exclusive interview regarding the plan to produce gasoline from methanol.
Emphasizing the importance of conducting comprehensive and all-round studies in this field, he stated: Studies have shown that, given the existing technologies and the structure of the country’s petrochemical complexes, direct production of gasoline from methanol is currently not economically justified and not cost-effective.
Didari continued: Of course, some companies claim to have developed new technologies that enable the economic production of gasoline from methanol. We will carefully examine these claims, and if proven, the feasibility of implementing this plan will be re-evaluated.
