Power outages this year will be less than last year
The Chairman of the Energy Commission of the Islamic Council while explaining the Ministry of Energy's arrangements for providing electricity in the hot season of the year said: With the plans made, it is expected that this year the number of blackouts and power outages in domestic, industrial and agricultural uses will be less than before and the conditions will improve.

According to Energy Press report, Fereydoun Hassanvand, referring to the meetings of the Energy Commission with the officials of the Ministry of Energy regarding the Ministry’s preparations for supplying electricity in the hot season of the year, stated: Every year before the start of the hot season of the year, we hold joint meetings with the Ministries of Oil and Energy for the issue We have food supply and related items.

He continued: These meetings were held to prevent some possible incidents in the hot season of the year, although the 13th government concluded a series of agreements and contracts 2 years ago, in order to produce 1600 megawatts of electricity by industries and communities with oil and power.

The Chairman of the Energy Commission of the Islamic Parliament said: According to the submitted reports, there are now 180 guidelines for the summer of 2024 in the regional, city, provincial, national, private and government sectors, which in fact is a general policy for all the country’s institutions.

Hassanvand continued: Another point is the progress of some power plant projects and the overhaul of some power plants, especially hydropower plants. Last year, due to rain issues, most of the hydroelectric power plants were not in operation, but this year, with the recent rains, the hydroelectric power plants are ready to provide service.
