Petrochemicals reach deprived areas; Kerman on the path to industrial development
The CEO of the National Petrochemical Industries Company announced the targeted development of the petrochemical industry in deprived provinces based on territorial planning and said: "Completing the value chain in the provinces in accordance with the climate, resources, and regional needs is on the agenda with the aim of balanced and sustainable development of the country."

According to Energy Press, citing the National Petrochemical Industries Company, Hassan Abbaszadeh, in a meeting with Shahbaz Hassanpour, representative of Kerman and Ravar and member of the Parliament’s Industries and Mines Commission on the sidelines of the 19th Iranplast exhibition, said about the development of the petrochemical industry in Kerman province: In the past years, several petrochemical projects were licensed in this province, one of which was canceled due to lack of progress, but the other two projects are still active.
Stating that one of these projects is the production of EPDM compounds for use in the automotive industry, he added: The license for this project is still active and we hope that it will make better progress in the future.
Supporting the development of southern Kerman province
The CEO of the National Petrochemical Industries Company mentioned another project in the Jazmorian region with the aim of supporting the development of southern Kerman province and continued: This project was assigned to a private sector investor and, although only 6 months have passed since its license was issued, it has made good progress. This project can be a valuable gift from the government to the deprived people of the southern province.
Abbaszadeh announced that another project is being studied and reviewed, which is suitable for the copper industry and has a high compatibility with the climate of this region due to low water consumption. He said: “The product of this project will be used in the large Sarcheshmeh copper complex, and it is expected that a license for this project will be issued in the coming months so that the investor can begin his work.”
