Petrochemical gas restrictions lifted
The CEO of the National Petrochemical Company announced the lifting of gas restrictions for petrochemical units and said: "With the announcement of the National Gas Company, most petrochemical complexes will return to full production capacity by the end of this week, and gas extraction will approach the level of about 90 million cubic meters per day, similar to October."

According to Energy Press, Hassan Abbaszadeh told reporters on Sunday, referring to the gas supply situation of petrochemical units: “As of Friday, February 14, the gas restrictions have been lifted and petrochemical companies can withdraw their required gas within the specified capacity ceiling.”

He added: “Some companies had entered a repair period due to the forecast of continued cold weather, which they are now resolving, and we expect to return to the production capacity before the restrictions by the end of this week.”

Referring to the fluctuation in gas withdrawal rates in recent weeks, Abbaszadeh announced: “In October, we had about 90 million cubic meters of gas withdrawal per day, which at times decreased to 75, 60, and even 50 million cubic meters, but now the increasing trend has begun and has even reached more than 100 million cubic meters, and companies are preparing to fully return to production.”

The CEO of the National Petrochemical Industries Company stated that, based on the announcement of the National Gas Company, the units are allowed to extract gas at their nominal capacity, and said: “According to available statistics, about 98 percent of the petrochemical supply and production capacity has returned to normal or is on the verge of returning, and despite all the restrictions, the export of petrochemical products has increased by about 2 percent compared to last year.”
