Oil Minister: We will sign high-value gas contracts in the near future

According to Energy Press, on the sidelines of the 26th ministerial meeting of gas exporting countries, Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejd told reporters: “High-value gas contracts will be signed soon, some of which will be with domestic companies and some with foreign companies.” He stated that a number of these contracts will be concluded and signed this year, adding that the result of signing these contracts will be evident in increasing Iran’s gas trade and increasing Iran’s gas production capacity. The Oil Minister noted: “Although there have always been sanctions against Iran and its energy sector, as the sanctions have become more widespread and complex, the solutions to neutralize them have also become more widespread and complex.”
