Oil Minister: The path of advancement of women in the Ministry of Oil is strategic and sustainable

According to Energy Press, the message of the Minister of Oil on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Hazrat Zahra (PBUH) and Mother’s Day is as follows:
“Today, on behalf of the 14th government, I am honored to honor your valuable position and transformative role in the oil industry. The human dignity that God expressed in the verse “And We have honored the children of Adam…” inspires our view of strengthening the presence of women in the context of decision-making and management of the country; a view that the Supreme Leader of the Revolution also emphasizes.
The Supreme Leader has always emphasized that Iranian women should have an effective presence in the fields of science, advanced technologies, management, political understanding and decision-making of the country; an active presence, not a ceremonial one. He emphasized, especially in his recent meeting with women, that women should play a role in future-making areas, including new technologies, the knowledge-based economy and the country’s strategic areas, and not lag behind global developments, such as technological revolutions. This clear line is our roadmap in the Ministry of Oil.
In the past year, the Ministry of Oil has achieved significant growth in the appointment of qualified women with a strategic approach; including a 34 percent increase in female managers in the ministry’s staff and a 41 percent increase in the presence of women in the petrochemical industry. These numbers are not just statistics; they are a sign of transformation, productivity, and trust in your abilities.
Today, women in the oil industry are not only our colleagues, but also the pioneers of the new path of energy, data-driven technologies, clean management, and Iran’s low-carbon future; women who, with their knowledge, precision, responsibility, and human perspective, are making the future rails of the oil industry more solid.
We are proud of your effective presence in the country’s largest industry and are confident that the path of women’s progress in the Ministry of Oil is not a symbolic policy; it is a definitive and sustainable strategy that will be vigorously pursued in line with the guidelines of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution.
