Official opening of the Sabzab-Shazand pipeline with a capacity of 750,000 barrels of crude oil

According to Energy Press, Mohammad Meshkinfam stated today (Friday, September 27) at the official commissioning ceremony of the 800-kilometer oil product pipeline, referring to the launch of the first stage of the Sabzab-Shazand sour crude oil pipeline: This pipeline is 341 kilometers long (including 102 kilometers of pipeline with a diameter of 30 inches from Sabzab to Tangfani and 239 kilometers of pipeline from Tangfani to Shazand with a diameter of 26 inches) and passes through the provinces of Khuzestan, Lorestan and Markazi. Also, along the route of the line, intermediate facilities have been built in Sabzab, Tangfani, Asar, Pol-Baba and Razan, and finally the line will be connected to the Shazand refinery.
He listed increasing the sustainable fuel capacity of refineries, reliable transportation of sour crude oil to the center of the country, reducing the country’s energy imbalance, strengthening manufacturers and utilizing domestic technical and engineering capabilities, and creating job opportunities as major goals of implementing the Sabzab-Shazand pipeline project, and said: The transmission capacity of this pipeline will be gradually completed.
Record of 3 million man-hours of work without accidents
Stating that the Sabzab-Shazand pipeline was designed and put into operation with an investment of 330 million euros to increase and sustainably supply feed to the Shazand and Isfahan refineries, with a capacity to transport 450,000 barrels of crude oil per day from Sabzab to Tangfani and 300,000 barrels of crude oil per day from Tangfani to Shazand, he added: To provide electricity for this project, 43 kilometers of power transmission lines have been constructed, including 210 pylons and four power substations.
