Notification of the development plan for the phases of the South Pars gas field

According to Energy Press, the resolution of the Economic Council regarding the development of the new phases of the South Pars gas field and the increase in the credit and time limits of the contracts for the development of that field was notified by letter No. 162567 dated 04/03/1403 by Daoud Manzoor, the head of the country’s program and budget organization.

This notification states: In the meeting of the Economic Council dated 02/12/1403, request number 797/p/m dated 02/02/1403 of the Ministry of Petroleum regarding the amendment of Resolution No. 44835/78306 dated 04/09/1389 of that council regarding the development of phases reviewed the new South Pars gas field and increased the credit and time limits of the development plans of that field and approved the following:

1- The National Iranian Oil Company is allowed, with the approval of the board of directors, to pay the amount of the contracts related to the five development projects of phases 13, 14, 19, 20-21 and 24-24 of the South Pars common gas field, as well as the completion plan for the concentrated gas condensate reservoirs and the project To increase the construction of South Pars combined cycle power plant in excess of all current permits, up to 3072 million dollars in total, and according to the laws and regulations, proceed with the payment on account to the contractors of the above projects. The final settlement with the contractors and builders should be done based on the results of verification of the documents and the audit of the costs incurred in the plans by the audit organization and the presentation of the authentic audit report of that organization about these plans.
